The mouthful

Amanda Cormier is a Senior Digital Strategist at Terra, focused on brand and creative strategy, organic growth, content, and influencer campaigns.

She began her career in editorial, spending six years at The New Yorker — moving from intern to editorial assistant to Managing Editor of newyorker.com. Along the way, she built and ran The New Yorker's newsletter program, which won a Condé Nast award, and launched "The Writer's Voice," a weekly podcast of New Yorker fiction. She also led the relaunch of National Journal Magazine in Washington, D.C.

After the 2016 election, she moved from legacy media into content marketing, joining the period-tracking app Clue in Berlin. There, she pitched, launched, and ran the Clue Encyclopedia, growing Clue’s organic traffic from 50,000 to roughly 4 million monthly visits in about a year and a half, and launched Clue's first podcast, "Hormonal,” which landed a sponsorship from Bayer for its second season. She went on to lead content and marketing for other Berlin-based health and publishing platforms, including Cara Care and Steady.

Today, Amanda brings that same editorial rigor and more than a decade of content and growth strategy experience to her work at Terra, helping clients find the story only they can tell—and building the organic strategy to get it in front of the right audience.

Favorite Quote

“The really important kind of freedom involves attention, and awareness, and discipline, and effort, and being able truly to care about other people and to sacrifice for them, over and over, in myriad petty little unsexy ways, every day.” — David Foster Wallace
