About the Project
The UN’s Global Fund for Coral Reefs (GFCR) represents more than just a bold idea — it may be one of our last chances to turn the tide for some of the planet’s most endangered ecosystems.
Backed by the United Nations and an alliance of global partners, GFCR is mobilizing billions of dollars to protect and restore coral reefs. To match that scale and urgency, the fund needed a digital presence as bold and purpose-driven as its mission. That’s where we came in.

Translating Purpose into Pixels
From the start, our collaboration with the UN was rooted in storytelling. Through early-stage workshopping, we helped shape a visual identity grounded in striking reef photography and messaging that conveyed innovation, partnership, and optimism — a brand that symbolizes our collective hope for these beloved underwater ecosystems.
As the platform and coalition grew, so did the demands on the brand. Our role evolved to ensure consistency and clarity across a much larger digital ecosystem. Working closely with the UN team, we adapted and applied brand elements across every touchpoint. We expanded the visual language, aligned messaging, and maintained cohesion at every scale. The result is a digital experience that not only reflects the beauty of the reefs, but also the global momentum building to protect them.

“REEF+” serves as the centralized platform for the Global Fund for Coral Reefs, connecting dozens of organizations across continents through shared data, tools, and insights. Built to handle complex user needs and evolving content, the platform supports everything from solution discovery and impact tracking to member collaboration and investment workflows.
We engineered a scalable, role-based system with modular components, custom admin controls, and integrated analytics. Features like expert profiles, interactive maps, and a flexible content architecture make REEF+ a high-performance, future-ready platform tailored to the demands of global conservation work.
